The Touch and Go blender is a workhorse in the commercial kitchen, puréeing quicker and smoother than any blender or food processor you have ever used. The Touch and Go also includes a pulse button, timer, and variable speed option, which allows for complete control for any application. Like all Vita-Mix machines, this Vita-Mix is built to last with a 3-year warranty against defects in parts and workmanship which includes a 1-year service contract. Like the Bar Boss, this unit has a pulse blending option, but with a twist: a variable low or high pulse adds versatility to non-programmed blending. The Low pulse operates at 7-50% of top speed, whereas the High pulse: 51-100%. In addition, the display counts elapsed time. You can use low pulse to stir and refresh drinks that have been "resting" for a while, and use high pulse to blend without pureeing or homogenizing - great for salsas and slush-type drinks.

Like the 1230, this unit has a timer option, the Touch and Go allows for time control. Only with the added electronic programmable access, the Touch and Go allows for timed ectronic speed control, which ensures a steady RPM level - just like "cruise control" for your blender.

Like the Vita-Prep, this unit has a variable speed option (Choose from 7% to 100% of motor power). This unit displays percentage of power being used from 7-100%, as well as elapsed time. In addition, it automatically remembers your last blending speed. The 2+ peak hp motor has a high Speed of 37,000 RPM bare motor speed in addition to a full range feedback controlled speeds from 1,500 RPM to 22,500 RPM.

In addition, this flag-ship unit contains a variety of additional features. No other blender is as quiet, yet packs as much power. The sound shield technology was designed by a NASA sound engineer to be quieter than the sound level of normal conversation. In addition, it is impact-resistant, hinged, and its optional molded clear polycarbonate cover keeps a lid on container noise, yet removes completely for easy cleaning. The display features resettable running-total drink counter - counts how many drinks you've prepared that day, week, month or year. A built-in overheating protection provides a warning and prompt which appear for easy and fast cool down. And an exceptionally bright digital display found only in high-end electronics makes this unit easy to read in any light, from any angle.

New Touch and Go MP3 (MAXI PERFORMANCE). The Touch-and-Go is now also available with a 3+ hp Motor, instead of the 2+ hp Motor found in other Vita-Mix units. The Touch and Go 3, therefore, uses the new (48 oz) Maxi-Container, whereas the Touch-and-Go uses the traditional Vita-Mix (64 oz or 48 oz) container. The Maxi-Container has a dual blade blade assembly, whereas the traditional container has a quad blade assembly. The Maxi-Container's blades are about 1/4" longer than the blades in the traditional container. The Maxi-Container blends more efficiently and quicker than the traditional container, and its design prevents blade cavitation. The Touch-and-Go 3 cannot use the traditional container, and a traditional Vita-Mix blender cannot use a Maxi-Container.

*The Touch-and-Go 3 is recommended for very heavy commercial use only. It has cut blending time in less than half for those who were using syrup or powder based ice blended drinks in an earlier Vita-Mix model, like the Touch-and-Go.
